Just what is Future Quake?
The Future Quake Show is a weekly interview and discussion show that hails from Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Show host, "Dr Future", and his co-host "Tom Bionic" tackle many issues, particularly those just under the “radar screen” of the major news media, that are expected to profoundly impact our daily way of life in the near or distant future. They try to educate listeners, and even sometimes warn them, about issues that could negatively impact them if they are not informed, and prepared properly.
The show has many fans, who affectionately call themselves "futurians". Two fans, D-Dutch and Andie, started writing to the show from Cape Town, South Africa. Dr Future introduced them to each other and it was shortly after this that they decided to start a little African 'satellite show' which they call iKhayaFQ - the home of Future Quake, South Africa.

Andie, D-Dutch, Ductape and Crus are a few fruity Capetonian-futurians who love life, Jesus, podcasts and a good conspiracy. Add to this a couple of 'lekker' local friends and one rather large, fluffy cat called "Solo" and you've got a show bru!
D-Dutch Malaprop
Capetonian media consultant and musician D-Dutch hails from just behind Cape Town's 'boerewors curtain'. He is fluent in two of South Africa's eleven official languages, although you may need to reference a Souf Efrikan dictionary from time to time to understand why "free" could well mean "three", or "fought", "thought". And a word to the wise, "whiff" generally has nothing to do with an odorous smell,
a puff of air, gas or smoke.
Crus.Ader
Crus is no Jesuit or Knight of Malta, but he's sure on a mission, and that is to speak up for the true message of the Gospel of Christ and expose false doctrine in the church today. Our resident heresy hunter also loves sport, especially cricket, and occasionally thinks he's a stand-up comedian.
Oh, and those recent UFO sightings in Cape Town
were actually just Crussy enjoying some low-flying on his scooter, no doubt abducting some pizza along the way!

Graphic designer Andie is part Dutch, Irish and just a soupçon French. She's Zimbabwean, though most South Africans think she's British."A bit confused?" That too! Nevertheless, she fits right into the beautifully-multicultural and richly diverse South Africa we love to call "home". |
